Client appointment letter for Principal Contractor (Section 5(1)
Appointment letters for:
Construction Manager
Construction Supervisor
Safety Officer
Risk Assessor
Fall Protection Planner (if applicable)
3. Health & Safety Plan
Must include:
Project-specific Risk Assessment
Method Statements
Legal Register
Emergency Preparedness Plan
Organogram
Proof of competency of responsible persons
4. Baseline Risk Assessment (BRA)
Signed and dated.
5. Proof of Registration Documents
Company CK/CIPC registration
Letter of Good Standing (COIDA)
Public Liability Insurance
UIF registration (sometimes requested)
6. Proof of Client Details
Client company registration
Client contact details
Copy of contract / appointment letter
7. Construction Work Permit (If Applicable)
Note
-Make 2 full copies (one for stamping)
-Put documents in a lever arch file, indexed
-Attach covering letter
-Ensure all signatures are original
-Ensure dates correspond.
