Mars Manufacturing is one of South Africa’s leading suppliers in the vacuum coating industry.

Mars Manufacturing has been a family run business since its inception in 1951 and until 2012 was based solely in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. 2012 saw the production arm of the company move to Lesotho in order to reduce costs and maximise global export potential. Local sales, administration and product

development remain in Pietermaritzburg. Both sites have dedicated management and teams to ensure that all our customers continue to receive high quality product on time and at competitive prices. At Mars Manufacturing we began our operations fabricating articles from aluminum foil, focusing predominantly on rigid foil containers and Christmas decorations. We quickly increased product ranges to incorporate other specialties and over this period we reduced the process of foil converting and gave greater focus to vacuum metallising and injection moulding. With these processes firmly established, we experienced exponential product growth to include lamp reflectors, coffin fittings, furniture fittings and curtain rail accessories. Today, as innovation and production develop, we look forward to an exciting future of continued growth in the world market. Our commitment to customer service, high quality product and ethical business practice makes us one of Africa’s leading manufacturers in this field.
