This week, we inspected a farming site in Giyani focused on building a more sustainable and energy-efficient farming operation. The farm is being developed to support multiple boreholes, irrigation systems, water storage infrastructure, and essential agricultural machinery that will operate daily across a large portion of land.
To ensure reliable and cost-effective energy supply, the project will be powered by a full solar PV system designed specifically to meet the demands of modern agriculture. By harnessing the power of the sun, the farm will be able to reduce dependence on expensive grid electricity and fuel-powered generators, while improving operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
