A massive congratulations to Marius, our Hydraulic Technician, for being crowned our **Yster of the Week!**

What an incredible week it has been. With everything we accomplished, the travelling involved and the extra mile Marius went to get the job done, he truly stood out. His dedication, workmanship and willingness to tackle every challenge left everyone impressed.

Marius, thank you for your hard work and for continuing to fly the SH Manufacturing flag high. You absolutely wowed us this week, and this award is thoroughly deserved! 💪🔥

😂 **COME ALONG OF THE WEEK – FERGUS!** 😂

Zhaun had the great pleasure of handing over the legendary bronze trophy this week—and judging by the laughter, he enjoyed every second of it!

Our latest recipient is Fergus, who earned his nomination because of what the guys have mysteriously named his **“two-day haircut.”** ✂️🤣

We’re still not entirely sure what a two-day haircut is, how it works, or why it takes two days—but the workshop has spoken, and Fergus is officially our **Come Along of the Week!**

Well done, gentlemen! One award celebrates exceptional effort, while the other keeps the laughter alive—and both are part of what makes our SH Manufacturing team so special.

The trophies have officially changed hands—and this week’s presentation brought even more laughter than the first! 😂

🥇 YSTER OF THE WEEK: LYNTON “BILLY” BOOYSEN

This week marked a major achievement for our workshop when Billy, Ryno Botha and Jayson Phelan all successfully passed their coded welding tests. Congratulations to all three gentlemen—this is an outstanding result and something each of you can be extremely proud of! 👨‍🏭🔥

Billy was selected as our Yster of the Week because we saw how much this test meant to him. He was incredibly stressed beforehand, but he committed himself, practised hard for a good week or two and produced an excellent final result.

When I informed him later that evening that he passed, Billy sent me one of the most heartfelt messages, that message showed just how much pride, gratitude and determination he carries with him.

Well done, Billy—you worked for this one, and you thoroughly deserve it! 💪🏆

🥉 COME-ALONG OF THE WEEK: ZHAUN GROVERS

After another extremely detailed investigation, management once again found absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing. 😂

Zhaun didn’t break anything, make a mistake or cause any trouble. His only offence was giving the boss far too much lip over the past few days!

So I thought: “You know what, you bu**er? You’ve just talked yourself straight into the Come-Along of the Week award!” 🤣

Zhaun genuinely didn’t expect it, which made the reaction even better. The photos show exactly how much fun everyone had!

Perhaps the happiest person of all was last week’s winner, Denver Le Grange, who thoroughly enjoyed handing over the trophy and officially passing the honour—and the trouble—on to its next owner. 🏆😂

Congratulations to Billy and Zhaun, our Week 34 winners!

Hard work, achievement, teamwork and plenty of laughter—that is what good workshop spirit is all about.

⚙️🔥 **FROM PROTOTYPE TO PRECISION.**

Not bad for one of the youngsters in the workshop... 😎👏

These parts were machined by **Kian Vermeulen**, and we couldn't be prouder of the workmanship he's producing.

But there's more to the story...

Before cutting the final material, we **3D printed the black prototype first** to verify the design, fit and geometry.

**Print it. Check it. Prove it. Then machine it right the first time.** 🎯

That's how we combine modern technology with traditional machining — while giving young talent like Kian the opportunity to develop real-world engineering skills.

⚙️ **YOUNG TALENT. OLD-SCHOOL CRAFTSMANSHIP. MODERN TECHNOLOGY.** 👏

A very proud moment in the SH Manufacturing machine shop yesterday!

Our youngster, **Kian Vermeulen**, completed an exceptional milling job — and the quality of his workmanship deserves some recognition. 👏🔥

Kian continues to grow in confidence and skill, and it's great to see a young tradesman taking real pride in getting the details right.

And if you're wondering about the **black plastic component** in the photos... no, we haven't started machining plastic parts by mistake. 😂

That component was **3D printed by us first as a prototype**, allowing us to physically check the design, fit and critical features before committing to the final machined component.

Why?

Because we'd rather print it once, check it twice... **and machine it right the first time.** 😎⚙️

That's what modern manufacturing is about — combining technology, practical experience and skilled people to reduce risk and deliver better results.

Well done, **Kian!** Keep learning, keep asking questions and keep taking pride in your work. The skills you're building today will stay with you for a lifetime. 💪

It might only be three digits, but to us it represents something much bigger — 100 people who have chosen to follow our journey, our projects, our people and occasionally our workshop nonsense. 🤣

Thank you to everyone who has followed, liked, commented and shared our posts. The interaction and support we've received lately has been incredible.

We're proud of what we're building — not only in steel, but in our people, our skills, our relationships and our reputation.
