In honour of Nelson Mandela Day 2025, the Atlas Plant Hire team proudly partnered with The Heald to support Jennies Soup Kitchen in Malabar, Port Elizabeth.
As Madiba said, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others.”
While our Port Elizabeth team was serving meals, sharing smiles, and embracing the spirit of Ubuntu, our Johannesburg team was actively distributing food parcels in partnership with Orfen Village in Midrand, ensuring more communities felt the impact of Mandela’s legacy.
At Atlas Plant Hire, we believe that small actions create lasting change — and we are committed to making a difference beyond business.
Thank you to all our staff and partners who gave their time and energy to uplift those in need. Let’s continue to live his legacy — every day.
In honour of The Herald’s 180th anniversary and its theme of giving back, the team at The Herald will be spending 180 minutes at Jeannie’s Soup Kitchen in Malabar to help prepare meals and feed the little children in need. We’d like to call on you, our readers to be part of this special initiative and encourage a donation of food pack items to contribute towards the meal preparations. Let’s all be part of a movement that transforms lives through simple acts of kindness. Together, we can make a difference - one meal at a time.
DONATIONS:
Food pack donation options (any portion welcome): Pack of samp and sugar beans; soya mince; onions and carrots.
WHERE & WHEN:
