Which conductivity sensor is better?

The answer is: it depends on the process.

Conductive and inductive conductivity sensors use fundamentally different measurement principles, and each has applications where it is better suited.

Inductive Conductivity Sensors

What happens when the process itself makes direct-contact measurement difficult?

Fouling. Scaling. Aggressive chemicals. Hygiene requirements. And increased maintenance.

Inductive conductivity sensors eliminate direct electrode contact with the process liquid, using electromagnetic induction to measure conductivity.

This makes them particularly suited to demanding applications such as:

🔹 Acid and caustic concentration control
