What can pressure measurement tell you about your process?

More than you might think.

A smart pressure transmitter can provide continuous process information and communicate with control systems.

Bass's MSP3200 Smart Pressure Transmitter supports 4–20 mA + HART and can also be configured with digital communication options. It can be used for applications including pressure measurement, pressurised-tank level measurement and filter-clogging monitoring.

Pressure transmitter or pressure switch?

They both measure pressure, but they solve different process requirements.

A pressure transmitter provides continuous pressure information to a control or monitoring system.

A pressure switch can initiate an action when pressure reaches a defined set point.

For example:

LOW PRESSURE → Stop pump
HIGH PRESSURE → Alarm
SET PRESSURE REACHED → Initiate process action

Bass offers pressure switches for a range of applications, including electronic, miniature, heavy-duty, ex-proof and differential pressure applications.

Hydrostatic pressure changes as the height of liquid in a tank changes.
