Aqua Enduro is an innovative initiative by the Department of Water Affairs which is aimed at addressing the skills shortage in the Scientific and Engineering disciplines in the water sector. Learners are exposed to a week-long programme filled with activities aimed at exposing learners to what the water sector entails. Water professionals from across the country accompany learners together with De

partment of Basic Education officials to this event. The event takes place annually in a different Region / Province. Fifty-four learners, six from each of the nine Provinces, partake in the finals.
