In 1962 it was bought by Mr. Erich Dinkel, who in 1963 saw the huge demand for wire, especially in the manufacturing of rabbit and chinchilla cages. Erich Dinkel worked in Italy and France on weaving machines, and decided to do the same with wire. He built his first machine in 1963, which is still running today. Over the years the company grew, to a well-established family business. In 2008 the co

mpany changed from a sole-ownership, to a private company, and is now known as African Spirit 566 (Pty) Ltd. t/a Pretoria North Engineers
