Originally founded 1928 in Insterburg, the company Karberg & Hennemann relocated in 1936 to Hamburg. The two founders Kurt Hennemann and Erik Karberg traded in marine equipment. April 1st, 1928
Cooperation agreement with the Danish company F.S. Andersen for the development, manufacturing and sales of axial fans under the brand name Multi-Wing

The second generation, Chris

Patent No. 21 13 189 awarded for the first hollow plastic blade profiles

Patent No. 24 39 767 for the adjustable pitch-angle together with the new hub system Z-root, sets the new world standard

The third generation, Patrick und Sven Hogrefe, join the company

Termination of the cooperation with F.S. Andersen and formation of axial fan division

Introduction of fan selection software WingFan SELECT

Launch of the first three blade profiles with sickle geometry (S series)

SPIN-OFF
The axial fan division splits from the oil filter division by forming WingFan Ltd. & Co.KG

Subsidiary in the USA is opened (Rock Hill, S.C.)

Patrick Hogrefe acquires all shares of WingFan and becomes sole shareholder

Cooperation with BorgWarner introduces fan clutches into the line-up

WingFan relocates to a modern facility with tripled floor space to accommodate for the rapid company growth
