In the Early 1930’s my great-grandfather, Sarel Strydom Snr joined His first Diamond Drill Crew at Macnamara Drilling Company, establishing our Family roots in the industry. Almost 40 Year
s later, my Father, Sarel Strydom Jnr continued in his footsteps and embarked on his career by acquiring his own drilling company, operating from Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. In the subsequent Years he expanded his company and footprint mainly through the manufacturing of his own drilling machines. After studying Civil Eng, I decided to join my Father`s Company. During the 11 years I worked for him I managed various projects in African countries, specializing in Geotechnical, Exploration and Percussion drilling disciplines. Also assisting our Manufacturing team in the workshop. With this valuable Hands-on experience I decided to Establish Reger Finly as a Drill Rig Manufacturing Company. As a skilled third Generation driller I’m excited about the future and progression of the industry, not only as a Contractor but also as a Manufacturer.
