House in Irene:

Interior walls have been painted.

Paint is a wonderful way to bring on a big decorative change to an interior of a house. Make sure to spend time on choosing the right colours. Don’t rush the process.

House in Irene got a fireplace makeover. The owner wanted to create a feature. So red brick was build onto the exsisting wall and then the brick was sealed with a varnish.

The interior walls of the house have also been painted with a lovely light grey.

Rooftop construction aka Die bo-baas bouer, has started a new project.

House in Irene Pretoria is getting some TLC.
The outside has been painted and small renovations are being started inside the house.

Here are progress pictures of the outside of the house. From start where the foliage was removed, wall smoothed and sanded and then today the finished new paint job.

Bathroom reveal!

Listen that was hard work to repaint those tiles but SO WORTH IT!

And we have grass!

Can you even believe there used to be a pool there?

If you have missed the posts concerning the covering up of the pool, scroll down to see catch up on the before....

The pool had been turned into a fish dam.
It was old and needed extra TLC and would have been way to expensive to repair.

So the next best option was to fill it and cover it up.
Building a new pool in a different spot in this garden will be in the plans for the future....far future.

The tile painting update:

Bathroom 1 has now been painted and completed, what a difference, it looks so much better.
Bathroom 2 will be finished tomorrow.

It takes time and patience to do this kind of work as you not only rolling paint over the tiles, you also have to see to it that the old grout gets paint into the grooves. So it took more time than I originally thought it would but I love the outcome!

Definitely worth it!

The bathrooms need new towel fittings and a good scrub up but here is a sneak peak...
Will reveal full bathrooms before and after later this week 😀

At last! The pool is filled and the top soil is now layered over for the planting of grass!
