“To build public trust by design in the delivery of nuclear projects, the industry must take a step back to reorient and reflect. We need to move beyond technical language and reconnect with the real concerns, experiences, and expectations of the communities we serve,” says Necsa GCEO, Loyiso Tyabashe during a panel discussion at currently underway in Kigali, Rwanda.

Public trust is not a “nice to have” it’s our license to operate. Achieving it requires more than communication, it demands genuine engagement, transparency, and inclusivity. We must actively involve communities and bring them with us at every stage of the nuclear project journey, ensuring their voices are heard.
