Step back in time and witness South African aviation history in motion at the first SAAF Museum Flying Day for 2026.
On the flying and display line-up:
β’ Cessna C185
β’ Harvards
β’ Alouettes
β’ Rolls-Royce Griffon ground run
There will also be static displays, photo opportunities, food stalls and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
Members of the Shackleton Restoration Project, Spitfire Restoration Project, Canberra Restoration Project and Buccaneer Restoration Project will be on hand throughout the day. If youβve ever wanted to get involved, ask questions, or support these important heritage initiatives, this is the perfect opportunity.
Weβll also have merchandise available, ideal gifts for aviation enthusiasts and a great way to support ongoing restoration work.
The famous SAAF Museum boerewors rolls will be on sale at the kiosk next to Hangar 3, exactly where youβll find the Spitfire Restoration Project team. Come and grab a boerie roll and say hello while youβre there.
We hope to see you there. πΏπ¦βοΈ
