A CFD requirement can begin with a deceptively simple question: how will air, liquid or heat behave inside this design? Choosing the right platform depends on how broad that question becomes.
Inventor’s integrated CFD capability is useful when mechanical design teams want fluid-flow and thermal insight within an Inventor-centred validation workflow. It can support common engineering studies involving pipes, ducts, valves, heat exchangers and equipment cooling without separating analysis from the design context.
Fusion’s electronics-cooling tools are more specialised. They are intended for questions around airflow, component temperatures, fans and heat transfer in electronic products and enclosures.
Autodesk CFD is the dedicated option for more advanced or varied fluid-flow and heat-transfer work. It supports applications such as pressure drop and flow distribution, pumps and valves, rotating machinery, free-surface behaviour, thermal studies and HVAC.
The strongest solution is not automatically the most advanced one. It is the platform that matches the physics, design environment, repeatability and level of analysis your team actually needs.
