Ending off Women’s Month on an inspiring note, our Founder, Veronique Stanley, had the privilege of speaking at the Plastics Converters Association of South Africa (PCASA) Women of Impact event on Friday.

Veronique shared her perspective on being taken seriously as a woman in a male-dominated industry, with a message centred on knowing your identity, recognising your strengths and resisting the pressure to compare yourself to others.

Her key takeaway was simple but powerful: Know your identity. Don’t compare. ❤️

Thank you to PCASA for creating a space for women in South Africa’s plastics industry to connect, share their experiences and learn from one another.

SAPRO 2026: A Silver Award Shared Across Three Proud Partners 🥈♻️

Last week, the teams from PIMMS Group, Stanton Global and Reproplast attended the SAPRO Awards at Spiced in Cape Town’s Silo District at the V&A Waterfront.

The evening brought together recyclers, converters, manufacturers, brand owners and industry leaders, all focused on creating a more sustainable future through recycling and innovation.

Representing the businesses were Stephen Stanley on behalf of PIMMS Group and Veronique Stanley on behalf of Stanton Global, with both proudly accepting recognition for their contribution to the project.

This year’s Silver Award was particularly special because it recognised the contribution of three businesses, each playing a unique role in bringing the product to life.

Stanton Global, through its Safeload brand, owns, designs and markets the award-winning Shesha Box. PIMMS Group manufactures the product, while Reproplast supplies the high-quality recycled plastic used in its production. It is a strong example of what can be achieved when design, manufacturing excellence and responsible recycling come together.

The Shesha Box was shortlisted in the House & Leisure category and, in our very first year of entering the competition, was awarded Silver.

Throughout the evening, finalists’ products were displayed, giving us the opportunity to showcase the engineering, recycled content and manufacturing process behind the Shesha Box.

The evening also highlighted the progress South Africa has made in plastic recycling, while reinforcing the importance of continuing to grow the circular economy and find valuable new uses for recycled materials.

For our teams, this recognition is especially meaningful. We entered just one product and walked away with a Silver Award, reflecting the power of collaboration between a brand owner, manufacturer and recycler working towards the same goal.

Employee Spotlight | Meet Ricardo Samuels | PIMMS Group Cape Town

For Ricardo Samuels, logistics is about more than moving materials and loading trucks. It is about people, teamwork and making sure every interaction is handled with respect.

Ricardo has been part of the PIMMS Group Cape Town team for the past year, following five years with Tego Plastics. Today, as a Forklift Driver in the logistics department, he plays an important role in keeping operations moving smoothly.

His responsibilities include handling raw materials, transferring finished goods from production to the warehouse and loading trucks ready for shipping.

Ricardo also brings valuable previous experience in receiving and logistics, which has helped shape the dependable and people focused approach he brings to his role today.

What he enjoys most about his job is interacting with people and making sure that truck drivers, clients and colleagues are always treated with respect.

He also values the collaborative culture at PIMMS Group Cape Town and enjoys working closely with the production and logistics teams.

Outside of work, Ricardo enjoys spending time with family and friends, hosting braais and cooking potjiekos. Saturdays are usually spent supporting his son from the sidelines at football, while Sundays often include a game of snooker.

Ricardo is also a proud dad to three children, one son and two daughters.

It is people like Ricardo, with their strong sense of teamwork, respect and commitment, who help keep PIMMS Group moving forward every day.

What a great way to kick off Women’s Month!

This morning, our PIMMS Group and Stanton Global teams came together for our monthly Huddle, with a special Women’s Month theme celebrating and showcasing the incredible women of PIMMS.

We also got a first look at some exciting new products currently being developed by the Stanton team and shared a few big updates on what is ahead for the Group.

One of the biggest is Project Apex, our exciting move to a bigger premises in October and an important next chapter in our growth.

Congratulations to our Employees of the Month, Mzwandile, Jan, Kamohleko and Kate. Well deserved!

A morning of celebration, innovation and exciting things to come.

We recently welcomed Stuart to PIMMS Group and Stanton Global for an internship experience, giving him the opportunity to explore the many different stages involved in bringing products to life.

Stuart spent time with the Stanton Global Design and Product Development Team, learning more about how ideas are developed into practical product solutions. He also gained valuable exposure to the PIMMS Group manufacturing environment, including visits to our Toolroom and Assembly Department, as well as time with our Commercial Director.

At PIMMS Group and Stanton Global, we are proud to share our knowledge, inspire young minds and give the next generation valuable insight into the exciting worlds of design, product development and manufacturing.

Today’s learners are tomorrow’s innovators and leaders.

Thrift shopping is officially in fashion, so we brought the trend straight into the PIMMS Group office! 👗♻️

Our team donated a wonderful selection of pre-loved clothing, shoes and other items, and we transformed our office into Thrift Shop. Staff members were invited to browse the rails and take home anything they wanted.

It was a great way to give quality items a second life, reduce waste and share a little kindness within our team. Because sometimes, one person’s pre-loved item is another person’s perfect find! 💚
