SAIMechE Student Chapter SU The SAIMechE Stellenbosch Student Chapter is a part of the South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers and it's Western Cape Branch.

The South African Institute for Mechanical Engineers (SAIMechE) is an internationally recognized institute. Students, young and ECSA registered engineers are members of this institute, forming a network of professionals. The Stellenbosch Student Chapter is the first of its kind! It is a subdivision of the Western Cape Regional Branch of SAIMechE and consists purely of Mechanical and of Mechatronic

Engineering Students studying at Stellenbosch University. The aim of the Student Chapter is to provide opportunities for Chapter members to interact with industry. By doing so they can make a name for themselves as hardworking, skilled individuals before graduating. In the process vacation training, bursary and other opportunities will be made available EXCLUSIVELY toSAIMechE student members.
