We would like to thank the Maidstone Service Station and Ashika Dorasamy for the generous donation of 216 packs (6 per pack) of sanitary pads❤️. The packs will be distributed to the girls in our communities via the NGOs under the aegis of the NCC Orphan Fund.

We are grateful to Maidstone Service Station for this wonderful donation as it adds to the Orphan Fund goal to have as many girls as possible attend school on a regular basis🎈. The sad truth in South Africa is many girls miss school on a regular basis because they are not able to afford sanitary towels. Thank you once again to Maidstone Service Station for helping to alleviate this problem in our communities. The Orphan Fund looks forward to your continued support❤️.

Thank you to all those who are supporting us in this Drive.

We have received a large amount of Sanitary Wear Donations, however we still need a lot more.

Please drop by and donate a pack of Sanitary Wear

Your donation could help a female in need ❤️

Period poverty in South Africa affects girls and women by preventing them from working and going to school. This creates stigma surrounding periods and has a negative effect on their overall hygiene.

Since up to 7 million South African girls do not have access or cannot afford to buy sanitary products, many of them must stay home. Many also report using old clothes and newspapers as sanitary pads when they cannot use sanitary products meant for periods. This is unhygienic and can cause other health problems and infections. Often, girls and women must choose between buying food and sanitary products because of the costs. When faced with this difficult choice, many choose to purchase food as it takes more of a priority. As a result, many must face the health and social consequences of not having sanitary products.

Join Maidstone Service Station as we embark on a Sanitary Drive to collect Sanitary Wear for our local schools. Help us end this Stigma.

Calling All Schools of Tongaat

As you are all aware, the April floods wrecked havoc in our community and what was really noticeable was the amount of waste which washed up on our roads, in parks etc.

This waste filled our drainage systems and caused major blockages.

Maidstone Service Station is extremely proud of Esimphiwe Tanaka Cele- age 4 from the Little Angels Club

When we launched our recycling initiative, the Little Angels Club, under the guidance of Mrs Ranikha Brijnath was keen to adopt this recycling program and get all the kids involved.

Little Tanaka (pictured) is a True Hero, who at the mere age of 4, took up this challenge to keep the litter of our streets.

We salute you Tanaka - Keep Persevering !

Thank you to the teachers and parents at Little Angels Club for joining forces and encouraging the youth to care for our environment.

We believe that if the youth of Today, adopt and maintain these initiatives, they are on track to be our Future Leaders.
