To the men reading this…
Being broke or jobless can mess with your mind. Trust me, I’ve been there. I remember that feeling because people start treating you like you don’t matter. People lose respect for you. Voices ignore you. People treat your opinions with little to no regard. Nobody cares about you and what you have to say.
And then… there’s this phase where men, in their late twenties/early thirties, are stuck in their parents’ houses, not because they still want to remain there, but because they can’t even afford to feed themself not to mention paying rent. Those who didn’t get lucky with parents who had houses have to pay overpriced rent every month.
And then, there’s a phase where you’re watching yourself get older without any major progress or achievements in life. That can depress you. Waking up every day with pressure, thinking about money, thinking about how your bills are going to be paid, trying to figure things out… it’s not easy. Going out with hope and coming back empty can really drain you.
But don’t stop trying. Even if today didn’t work, tomorrow can. As long as you’re still trying, you’re not finished. To every man out there struggling and looking for a way, keep going and don’t give up on yourself. Things can change, and they will because a moving man will one day meet his luck. The road favours a traveller!
