What you need to do?
Solve a community problem either where you live or where others live … it’s your ideas that we are interested in. This could be solving the problem of access to technology, improving sanitation and water services, dealing with environmental issues or providing better, more accessible healthcare. These examples are meant to spark our young innovators, inventors and makers imaginations.
Who can participate? Applications are split into two age categories
4-9 year old category:
Entrants in this category are not required to use any specific 3D design skills; all they need to do is to make their designs from any types of materials, they can take a few photos and add a short description of their solution.
They are welcome to use any 3D skills they have and to show their thinking and methods used to get to their solution.
10-16 year old category:
Entrants here should try to use some 3D design skills but these are not compulsory as longs as the design is comprehensive and they give a good explanation as to how their design can solve a community problem.
Some of the 3D design skills they can use include:
3D design software like Happy3D
Drawing the design in 3D and then building it from whatever materials they have available
Building the design in 3D with whatever materials they have available.
The competition closes on 31st August:
