📢 VACANCY: STORE KEEPER – KALTRON ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Kaltron Electrical Engineering is looking for a responsible and efficient Store Keeper to join our team.

🔧 Requirements:

Relevant storekeeping or inventory experience will be an advantage

Must be fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)

Must be able to work under pressure and follow instructions accurately

Must be computer literate

Knowledge of different tools and electrical materials will be an added advantage

Must be reliable, organized, and have attention to detail

📌 Duties include (but are not limited to):

Receiving, issuing, and recording stock items

Maintaining a neat and accurate stockroom

Assisting with stock counts and reconciling discrepancies

Liaising with procurement and workshop departments

Kaltron Electrical Engineering is an established leader in electrical engineering solutions. We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-driven Buyer to join our team.

Role Purpose:
The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services in line with company procedures and project requirements. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong administrative ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to quality, timelines, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:
• Source and procure materials, tools, equipment, and services
• Request quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timeous delivery and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation
• Coordinate with stores, workshop, and project teams to ensure alignment of supply with operational needs
• Ensure all supplier compliance documents are received and filed
• Process returns, credits, and warranty claims where required
• Assist with supplier performance evaluations and maintain preferred supplier lists

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2-3 years’ experience in procurement or buying (engineering/manufacturing sector preferred)
• Excellent administrative and communication skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word. Outlook)
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Maintain up-to-date costing on all materials and services to ensure accurate budgeting and quoting
• Continuously update internal pricing records based on supplier adjustments and market changes
• Communicate any price fluctuations to relevant departments and ensure cost accuracy on all procurement documents
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or lead times
Added Advantage:
• Experience using Pastel or similar procurement systems
