PLANNED WATER INTERRUPTION: YSKOR IN LOUWVILLE, VREDENBURG

Date: Thursday, 1 August 2024

Time: 09:00 to 16:00

Affected Area: Ward 13 (Yskor in Louwville, Vredenburg): Streets/Areas: Marigold, Bougainvillae, Angelier, Jasmyn and surrounds.

Kindly note that the Saldanha Bay Municipality must urgently conduct maintenance work on the water distribution network on Thursday.

Water supply to the affected consumers will be temporarily suspended from 09:00 to 16:00. Surrounding areas might experience low water pressure during this time as well. Note that the water supply may be restored earlier than scheduled without further notice as soon as the works involved are completed.

After the completion of the maintenance works, the process may take a while before normal pressure and supply are fully restored.

A water tanker will be on standby during this maintenance period.

We urge all other water consumers to please use water sparingly during this period. The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and thank consumers for their patience in this regard.

PLANNED ELECTRICITY SHUT DOWN: LONG ACRES (LANGEBAAN)

Date: Tuesday, 30 July 2024
Time: 08:00 to 16:00

Ruwacon Construction on behalf of Saldanha Bay Municipality will be doing a cut, relocate and joint of an 11kV electrical cable at the booster pump station in Loop Street, Long Acres, which we will need a full shut down of electrical supply to achieve the installation. All areas connected to this cable outlet will be affected during this changeover. The necessary arrangements have been made with service provider, Eskom.

These operations are meticulously planned and the impact thereof in all aspects, are carefully considered. We do understand that any construction activity can cause inconvenience, and we assure you that our utmost priority is to minimize disruption to the best of our abilities, while ensuring timely completion of the project.
