We're excited to announce that training is currently underway for 15 selected solar entrepreneurs (solarprenuers) from Eastern Province's Katete, Mambwe, Chipangali, Kasenengwa, and Chipata Districts.

Empowering Smallholder Farmers, Enhancing Rural Lives: A Partnership for Progress

Meet Cornelius, a smallholder farmer from Kasupe a rural village in Eastern Province of Zambia, who struggled with labor-intensive irrigation methods until he received a solar water pump through a grant from the United States African Development Foundation and Rural Development Innovations

USADF, RDI and KUKULA SOLAR joined forces to distribute solar water pumps to farmers like Cornelius, promoting sustainable agriculture and economic growth. This collaboration:

It was all love and laughter, Thanks to and for hosting such an amazing event on how we can effectively repair the many faulty/dead solar lights/products in our communities and how to manage e-wast.
(Zambia) was among the two other African countries namely (Zimbabwe) and (Kenya) who believe in such initiatives which drive a positive impact on our communities...
It was a great privilege to be a part of this group of great minds to learn and to share ideas.

Tom is one of the 400 smallholder farmers in the Eastern Province benefiting from the grant awarded by the United States African Development Foundation and Rural Development Innovations Energy Challenge to Kukula Solar. This grant is empowering them with solar-powered water irrigation systems, enabling an increase in crop production and income.
