From the conference stage to meaningful conversations at our exhibition stand; here is a look back at UMCIL’s experience at BuildZambia 2026. 🇿🇲

Held from 23–24 September under the theme, “Driving Inclusive Infrastructure Development for an Equitable Zambia,” the conference brought together government representatives, the National Council for Construction, industry leaders and stakeholders committed to building Zambia’s future.

Representing UMCIL, Dr. Phil Daka shared our commitment to strengthening local industry and supporting national development.

By transforming locally sourced iron ore into steel through local manufacturing, UMCIL is helping Zambia retain more value from its natural resources, create employment, develop local skills and strengthen the country’s industrial capacity.

Our engagement with visitors at the UMCIL stand was another reminder that Zambia’s future can be built through Zambian resources, Zambian manufacturing and Zambian talent.
