Adroit Engineering Construction Limited, a fast-growing and innovative construction company, is seeking qualified, proactive, and results-oriented professionals to join our technical team.
1. Position: Engineer
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in the construction industry
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Lusaka, with willingness to travel to various project sites across Zambia
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage daily site activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Prepare, analyze, and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates
Monitor project progress and compile accurate site reports
Enforce adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients
Interpret engineering drawings and provide technical guidance to site teams
Oversee material management, quality control, and site measurements
Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Resolve technical challenges and recommend practical solutions
Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship meets required standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Registered Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
Valid Engineering Practicing License
Minimum 3 years proven construction/site supervision experience
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management
Proficient in BOQ preparation, measurements, and contract documentation
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency (MS Office, AutoCAD, or similar software)
2. Position: Engineer Intern
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year practical exposure in construction or engineering
Employment Type: Full-Time Internship
Location: Lusaka, with flexibility to travel to project sites as required
Key Responsibilities
Assist in supervising site activities under senior engineer guidance
Participate in BOQ preparation and basic cost estimating
Assist with measurements, documentation, and progress reports
Support planning, coordination, and scheduling activities
Help interpret drawings and provide technical support to site teams
Monitor material usage and maintain quality control records
Support enforcement of safety and environmental compliance
Conduct basic site inspections and report findings
Perform other duties assigned to support project delivery
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Affiliate Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
Minimum 1 year experience (internship, attachment, or junior construction role)
Basic understanding of construction processes and site operations
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Computer literacy (MS Office; AutoCAD is an added advantage)
