Audo postproduction for a podcast to start the week.

Also a lot of birds are taking interest in my yard, one of them had this greenish-Oxford blue gradient that reflected light from the sun, what a beauty.

What does having a thriving bird house really take.

For the past six months, learning Nuendo has been an uphill battle. I tried watching YouTube tutorials, but nothing clicked. And that was frustrating because, for as long as I can remember, observation has been my superpower—show me something once in a DAW, and I’m good.

I’ve worked with digital audio workstations for years. The principles stay the same, so picking up a new tool should be just that—learning a new tool. But Nuendo? It was different. No matter how many videos I watched, nothing stuck.

Then, during a visit to a close friend, I vented my frustrations. Paul Kruz just laughed and said, “Ah, dude, Nuendo is easy.”

That stuck with me. Maybe I was approaching it the wrong way? So when I got home, I decided to try a new strategy. Instead of relying on tutorials, I did something drastic—I rebuilt my entire Pro Tools template from scratch inside Nuendo.

That meant tackling every single aspect of my workflow: routing, signal chains, I/O, audio setup—you name it.

I wish I had this eureka moment earlier. Sitting down and rebuilding my extensive audio post workflow inside Nuendo forced me to truly understand how the software was designed. I asked myself a lot of questions. Tried things, some worked others didn't. In the last 24 hours, more things have clicked than over the previous 6 months.

Turns out, Nuendo is actually pretty decent.

Lesson learned? Sometimes, the best way to learn is to get your hands dirty and build from the ground up. Have you ever struggled to learn a tool that just wouldn’t “click”? Let’s talk! 🚀🎚️

Starting the year by sharing some highlights from last year. Our film “Before the Storm” won Best Documentary at the Kenya International Sports Film Festival and was also an official selection at the SOTAMBE Zambia International Film Festival, BIOSKOP! Zimbabwe Short Film Competition, and AFRICA USA International Film Festival.

When I first got the call from Jared (Director & Producer) to help him shoot this film, I never would have imagined it would go on to achieve what it has or reach the places it has.

Feeling incredibly grateful to have been part of this project—huge thanks to the team at Loyola Productions and Area46!
