Official Statement on Zambia’s Men National Team Departure for the 2025 Hockey Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup Qualifiers.

For Immediate Release:
The government, through the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, has successfully finalized travel arrangements for the team’s departure. The team will embark on its journey in phases. The first contingent has already departed via Ethiopian Airlines at 13:35, while the second group is scheduled to leave at 18:15 aboard Kenya Airways, and the final group will depart at 21:00 through Qatar Airways.
The Association expresses its profound gratitude to the government, particularly the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Minister of Youth, Sports, and Arts, the Permanent Secretary, the Director of Sports, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), the Secretary General, and the CEO of the National Sports Council of Zambia for their unwavering support in facilitating the team’s travel. The government has secured tickets along with 50% of the accommodation costs amounting to K250,000, while the NOCZ has generously contributed K50,000 towards accommodation expenses.
The Zambia Hockey Association remains steadfastly committed to the advancement and promotion of hockey within the nation and continues to engage with the Ministry and other pivotal stakeholders to ensure that similar challenges are mitigated in the future.
