Zambia National Energy Corporation Limited (ZNEC) is proud to announce a landmark project set to transform Zambiaβs energy landscape. ZNEC is a strategic partnership where ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) directly holds 60.0% shares, with the Zambian Government (GRZ) holding the remaining 40.0% through the Ministry of Finance and National Planning (MoFNP).
The Vision: 312MW of Localized Power
The PCEI aims to deploy 2MW Solar PV power plants with 4MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across all 156 constituencies in Zambia. By utilizing redirected Constituency Development Fund (CDF) resources and other funding, we are building nationwide energy resilience through localized investment.
Scope for EPC Contractors
ZNEC invites suitably qualified local and international companies to undertake the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of these facilities. Key tasks include:
β’ Full procurement and installation of Solar PV modules and support structures.
β’ Deployment of three-phase hybrid inverters and system monitoring units.
β’ Installation of Integrated or stand-alone BESS.
β’ Construction of evacuation lines to the nearest 33/11kv substations.
Qualification Highlights
We are looking for partners with the financial and technical strength to deliver at scale:
β’ Experience: Proven track record in solar PV projects valued at US$50 million and above.
β’ Financials: Must provide 3 years of Audited Financial Statements.
β’ Logistics: Possession of in-country or regionally available stock.
