One of the world’s largest uncut emeralds was found in Zambia 🇿🇲 on August 3, 2025.
The 11,685-carat gem, weighing over 2.3 kilograms, was discovered at the Kagem mine in Lufwanyama and nicknamed “Imboo” (Buffalo).
With its deep green color and clarity, experts say it could be worth hundreds of millions depending on how it is cut.
The emerald is reportedly being showcased at a Bangkok auction, with proceeds set to benefit Zambia, home to the world’s largest emerald mine.
