Durawall construction process
1. Use only council approved drawings for construction.
2. Check site measurements based on site plan with the aid of the Land Surveyor.
3. These days its even easier check stand boundary pegs with modern equipment like GPS. Remember always to use at least two known points( Trig beacon )
4. Carry out setting out process and get it approved by council officials and stage form signed.
5. Carry out trench excavations and get approval.
6. Concrete pour in footings(check and verify the mix design of concrete grade to be used. To find out if the correct grade has been achieved ,the contractor can have concrete cube tests be carried out by professional laboratory)
7.Carry out brickwork in foundation observing the correct distance column to column. Remember to address the issue of the following , brickforce reinforcement and expansion joint.
8. Brickwork(Stretcher bond) from Ground floor to full height.Follow drawing and remember to have atleast two header course for a 230mm brickwall..
9.As of finishes ,one has to consider what is specified on the drawing.
