*DB BOARD REWIRING - BORROWDALE BROOKE*

We've seen a lot of messy boards around. It's very common, especially in homes where a few extensions were done over the years or where solar and generator were added later. Everyone just adds a wire here and there, until it looks like the BEFORE picture shown.

Your DB board is like the heart of your home. When it's all over the place, you feel it everywhere - tripping, appliances acting up, that worry at the back of your mind. We spent the day rewiring it, balancing it properly, labelling everything so the family actually knows what is what. Simple things, but they make a home feel safe again.

The best part is the look on a client's face when it's done. Calm. "Now I understand my house." If your house is a bit older or you've done extensions, it might be worth just having someone take a look inside your DB. Sometimes a small check saves you a big headache later.

🔋 WHY IS THE BATTERY–INVERTER COMMUNICATION CABLE IMPORTANT?
When installing a solar system with lithium batteries, connecting the power cables alone is not enough. The battery and inverter also need to communicate through the appropriate communication cable.

📡 What does the communication cable do?
It allows the Battery Management System (BMS) to communicate important information to the inverter, such as:
✅ Battery State of Charge (SOC)
✅ Battery voltage and current
✅ Charging and discharging limits
✅ Battery temperature and protection status
✅ Warning and fault information

This communication helps the inverter operate according to the battery manufacturer's recommended parameters, improving system safety, performance and battery life.
⚠️ Without proper communication, some systems may not accurately read the battery's SOC, may use incorrect charging parameters or may experience unnecessary alarms and shutdowns.

🔧 Professional installation matters.
Always use the correct communication protocol, cable and inverter/battery settings recommended by the manufacturers. The communication cable is a small component, but it plays a big role in the overall performance of a lithium battery solar system.
