Last week, Performance Laboratories Zimbabwe was invited by the Chamber Of Mines Zimbabwe to present on the Commercial Geochemical Laboratory Landscape in Zimbabwe at the annual conference and AGM for the Association of Mine Managers Zimbabwe. Delivering the insightful presentation was our Managing Director, Kiran Desai and Business Development Manager, Tawanda Patrick Chawirah.

The presentation focused on three main areas:

1. Capability and capacity of commercial laboratories to handle demand for geo-test works in Zimbabwe
2. Exisiting gaps for commercial laboratories and what is being done to close the gaps
3. Technological developments in the commercial laboratory sector relevant to Mine Managers

During this busy time of the year, the Performance Laboratories Zimbabwe team took a break this past weekend to take part in the 2025 Mud Run. It was an opportunity for our team to bring out the inner child in them and get dirty in the name of charity and fun.

The occassion was aligned with our ongoing initiative to foster a family environment through regular team-building initiatives and our guiding principle "Teamwork" which aims to cultivate togetherness to promote a more efficient work output.

Performance Laboratories Zimbabwe takes pride in the relationship it has with the Zimbabwe School of Mines. Together we have a standing agreement to award the Best Metallurgical Assaying Student with a paid 12-month Graduate Development Program opportunity at Performance Laboratories Zimbabwe.

For the second year running, our Managing Director - Kiran Desai attended the Zimbabwe School of Mines graduation ceremony to award the 2025 Best Metallurgical Assaying Student - Brian Sibanda with his certificate and 2026 invitation to participate in a one year Graduate Development Program.

Congratulations Brian Sibanda! We look forward to you joining our team.
