Three days of strategic conversations, collaboration, and shared focus on Indonesia’s energy future at IPA Convex 2026.

Our leadership joined high-level discussions on energy security, the energy transition, and the role of natural gas in supporting reliable, lower-carbon energy systems. At our stand, we continued the conversation with partners and stakeholders, spotlighting our growing presence in the Andaman Sea and the potential to support Indonesia’s growing energy needs.

اختتمنا ثلاثة أيام من الحوارات الاستراتيجية والتعاون والنقاشات الهادفة حول مستقبل الطاقة في إندونيسيا ضمن IPA Convex 2026.

Mubadala Energy’s Chief Operating Officer, Adnan Bu Fateem, joined the Energy Transition at the Crossroads: Urgency, Reality and the Road Ahead panel at IPA Convex 2026.

With energy demand across Southeast Asia growing over 35% in the last decade, and electricity demand up over 60%, he highlighted how the region's energy future demands both ambition and practicality. Natural gas plays a fundamental role in bridging that gap, a less-emitting, affordable energy source that supports economic growth while enabling transition.

The decisions made today will define the resilience of energy systems for decades to come. Mubadala Energy remains committed to building systems that deliver both.



شارك عدنان بوفطيم، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات في مبادلة للطاقة، في الجلسة الحوارية بعنوان: التحول في قطاع الطاقة عند مفترق الطرق: بين الإلحاح والواقع والطريق إلى الأمام ضمن فعاليات IPA Convex 2026.

ومع نمو الطلب على الطاقة في جنوب شرق آسيا بأكثر من 35% خلال العقد الماضي، وارتفاع الطلب على الكهرباء بأكثر من 60%، أكد على أهمية تبني نهج يجمع بين الطموح والواقعية في رسم مستقبل الطاقة في المنطقة. كما شدد على الدور المحوري للغاز الطبيعي باعتباره مصدراً للطاقة أقل انبعاثاً وأكثر قدرة على دعم النمو الاقتصادي، مع المساهمة في دفع تحول الطاقة.

فالقرارات التي نتخذها اليوم ستحدد مدى مرونة منظومات الطاقة لعقود قادمة، وتواصل مبادلة للطاقة التزامها بالمساهمة في بناء منظومات تحقق أمن الطاقة وتحول الطاقة معاً.

At IPA Convex 2026, our Managing Director & CEO, Mansoor Mohamed Al Hamed, joined The End of Easy Energy: The New Reality of Oil and Gas panel. The discussion focused on the challenges and opportunities shaping upstream exploration and production in Indonesia.

He reinforced our long-term commitment to Indonesia's energy future, highlighting our Andaman Sea discoveries as central to supporting the country's energy security and transition goals.

Progressive regulatory frameworks, streamlined permitting, and continued partnership between Indonesian and international stakeholders are critical enablers of upstream investment. These are the conditions that allow us to accelerate development plans and maintain long-term momentum.
