Schülke & Mayr worked with BITO to optimise a complex storage solution for hazardous goods and chemicals. A new storage centre, divided into four sectors, created space for 18,500 pallet spaces – supplemented by a picking and interim storage area with a further 650 spaces. In addition, a storage platform with shelving racks and a narrow-aisle warehouse with inductive guidance were added for maximum space utilisation.

The BITO racking systems meet all requirements for fire-safe, standard-compliant hazardous goods storage. Automatic fire doors, sprinkler systems and special sheet metal barriers in the racks ensure safety. Brake rollers in roller conveyors prevent damage during pallet movement. The result: a highly secure, flexible and economical warehouse with a clear separation of pallet storage, order picking and collective transport.
