POV: you waited 100 days for this.

Our custom waitlist has grown and grown over the past year and honestly, we’re so grateful for you legends wanting something special made by us. It humbles me seeing how many reviews you’ve been leaving.

The custom order waitlist is now sitting around 3–6 months. We never imagined it’d get that long, but we can’t rush these knives. We’re trying to get better every week — I never want to settle for making the same thing over and over. I want our knives to always be improving. The boys are learning new skills every day, and there are so many other incredible makers out there too.

If you’re after a good quality knife, there are plenty of brilliant makers around. Support your local knifemaker and buy something you’ll own for life.

And if you’ve been thinking about getting a custom from us — get on the reservation list sooner than you think you need to. We’re already getting close to the Christmas cut-off.

New YouTube episode landing this week. We took the whole team bush to “test” a pile of new knives. Purely work related of course. 😆. No one’s gone hungry.

It’s also been a month since our last drop. 🔨 team has been head down on customs and built-to-orders, so the drop going live next Thursday is the biggest of the year. Some of these blades aren’t going to hang around. Get on the email and SMS list. You don’t wanna miss this one.

Shed update. The machines are here! Our 6 new grinders, bandsaw and dust extractor have arrived and currently being installed. There’s still a lot to set up but we’re nearly in! Studio flooring going in start of next week.

Slowly but surely, the new shed is taking shape. 🔨
Building Dedicated showroom with a full gallery of knives. A 10m grind room kitted out with 6 grinders so we can run hands-on knifemaking workshops for up to 6 people at a time. And another knifemaker joining the team full-time next week.
We’re proper keen to get in here and start hammering on some new knife designs.

Grab it in Stainless Damascus or 12C27 — both razor sharp as, both built here in Anna Bay. Chuck us a name or a date and we’ll engrave it for free. Kydex Sheath’s are included.

The whole Iron Gate crew headed into the hills with bows in hand, chasing bucks that were croaking in full rut. Plenty of big fallow around and even a giant red stag roaring not far from camp. The kind of soundtrack that gets you out of the swag in the middle of the night.

Didn’t get any on the ground this year. Came close a few times. Had several chances inside 30m, but bowhunting happens in seconds, and they never stand still the way you want them to. 😂
