This is what corten steel is supposed to do.
When these laser-cut panels were installed at the Woodlea housing estate, the steel had only just begun its transformation.
Now the protective rust patina has developed — deepening the colour, defining the Billy Button pattern and giving the bridge rail the finish it was designed to achieve.
Harley was passing through the area and stopped to see how the job was progressing. Just 4 months of weather have made quite a difference.
