In 1996 with the purchase of an Altas Copco Simba H104 production drill, the then owners of Perseverance Drilling, Underground Pty Ltd set out on a journey to provide contract drilling services to PosGold at the Golden Crown Mine in Cue, . Although, the lads where pretty chuffed at getting their first pay cheque, two months into the job, production was stopped, and the job ended.
Doubling down, the team brought a couple of other rigs, gave the little H104 the first of many rebuilds and headed to Kambalda to start work at the Long Victor Mine.
From then.... the rest they say is history.... well, what a history it is... spanning three decades and with each year having its own unique story, stories we look forward to sharing with our and more.
Of course, and what of that little Simba H104, the rig that started it all... Well, LH001 is still part of the PDU fleet, and always ready to more meters.

Off and drilling, a great start to 2026 for the team at PerseVerance Drilling. Great to be sending LH003 out to the eastern goldfields for a short drilling program for one of our newest clients, ensuring they get their primary vent system up and running.

This gem of a rig, with plenty of new shiny bits, will then head further east to give LH014 a bit of a rest and ensure that our 20-year relationship on that site can continue to break ounces.
