We are incredibly proud to share that Kael has been nominated for Business Person of the Year 2026.
Many people know Great Northern Logistics and GN Mechanical & Automotive, but may not know Kael’s role behind the scenes. As a hands on owner and day to day leader, Kael is the problem solver, all rounder and driving force behind so much of what happens across both businesses.
Anyone who knows Kael knows he is not someone who looks for the spotlight. He will often hide from it if he can. But while he may avoid being the public face, he is always showing up in whatever way he can for our customers, our team and other businesses across Broome and the West Kimberley.
Kael is Broome born and bred, and his connection to this community runs deeply. He understands the value of being given an opportunity, learning a trade, building a professional career and creating something meaningful through hard work. That is something he has carried into the way he leads, works and creates opportunities for others.
For the past 14 years, Kael has put his energy, time and heart into building Great Northern Logistics and GN Mechanical & Automotive. The last 8 years in particular have taken an enormous amount of commitment, sacrifice and resilience. Through the long days, the pressure, the staffing challenges, the growth, the move into our new workshop and the constant demands of running a regional business, Kael has continued to show up.
He has built local services that people rely on, created employment opportunities, supported community groups, and helped keep homes, businesses, vehicles and operations moving across Broome and the West Kimberley.
We are so proud to see him recognised alongside other hardworking business leaders in our community.
