On Monday, our team landed a helicopter on the oval at AFL Cape York House as part of Raising Horizons in Cairns.

What followed was an afternoon of conversations, curiosity and connection, with close to 100 students from the boys and girls boarding colleges engaging directly with people working across aviation.

For many of the students, aviation is already part of everyday life in remote communities. Opportunities like this help make the industry feel more visible, possible, and within reach.

It was great to stand alongside a broad group of aviation and industry partners throughout the afternoon, including Cairns Airport, Aviation Australia, Rex Airlines, MAF International, National Aviation Academy, the Royal Australian Air Force, the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and Toll Group.

Thank you to Gunggandji Aerospace for creating opportunities that help young people see what is possible for them, and to AFL Cape York House for welcoming us onto your oval and into your community.
