⚡ Storm response update - 8 AM ⚡

Our crews worked through difficult conditions overnight following severe storms that caused extensive damage to the electricity network. More than 8,000 customers had power restored overnight, with around 300 customers remaining without power this morning.

Today, crews are assessing damage, making the network safe and beginning repairs. As inspections continue and more hazards, including trees on powerlines, are reported, we expect more damage to be identified throughout the day.

Until we have a clearer picture of the full extent of the damage, some outages may not yet have an accurate restoration time or appear on the outage map (www.evoenergy.com.au/Outages). We’ll continue updating the map as more information becomes available.

We’ll provide our next update at approximately 11.00 am.

Please stay at least 10 metres away from fallen or low powerlines and anything they may be touching, and report hazards by calling 13 10 93.

⚡ Severe weather impacting the electricity network ⚡

Crews are working across the ACT tonight in response to widespread network damage caused by strong winds and heavy rain. Around 9,000 customers are currently without power.

Our crews are patrolling the network, making it safe and restoring power where they can. We have received reports of trees on powerlines, fallen powerlines and other network damage across multiple locations.

Due to the weather and the extent of the damage, some repairs cannot be completed safely until daylight. Overnight, crews are focusing on making sites safe for repair work to continue tomorrow morning.

Our Contact Centre is experiencing a high volume of calls. Please check the outage map (www.evoenergy.com.au/Outages) for the latest information before calling. If you see fallen or low powerlines, trees on powerlines or other network damage, report it to us on 13 10 93.

For your safety, stay at least 10 metres away from any fallen or low powerlines and anything they may be touching. Always assume powerlines are live. If there is an immediate danger, call 000.

This Reconciliation Day, we’re proud to share the story behind the artwork on our Casey neighbourhood battery.

Buugang-Bu Bilirr (Bogong and Black Cockatoo) by artist Kalara Gilbert.

The Bogong Moth’s annual journey to Tidbinbilla once called many Nations together to gather, celebrate and share in Ceremony. The Black Cockatoo is a messenger – a bringer of rain, a reminder to listen to Country🌱🌦️🌳

This painting carries those memories. We’re proud to have this story wrapped around infrastructure in our community.
