We’re Hiring – Industrial Technicians (Rope Access | NDT | Blast & Paint)

IMIS Asset Integrity is currently seeking experienced industrial personnel to support ongoing works across Gladstone and surrounding areas.

We are looking for technicians across the following disciplines:
• Rope Access Technicians (trade background preferred)
• NDT Technicians (rope access advantageous but not essential)
• Industrial Painters & Blasters

This is an opportunity to join a team delivering maintenance and asset integrity services across heavy industry environments.

✅ What we’re looking for:
• Strong commitment to safety and site compliance
• Experience in mining, refinery, smelter, or heavy industrial environments
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Flexibility across different scopes of work

✅ Minimum requirements:
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space & Gas Test Atmospheres
• Manual Driver’s Licence

⭐ Highly regarded:
• Rope Access certification (IRATA or SPRAT)
• NDT qualifications
• Trade qualification
• Industrial blasting and painting experience

This is what a storage tank looks like when inspections get deferred one too many times...

Widespread coating failure, significant corrosion across the structural supports and saddle bases, and floor plating that had clearly been deteriorating for some time. Nothing on the outside of this tank suggested what was waiting inside.

Internal surfaces are where corrosion does its quiet work. Poor drainage, residual product, and trapped moisture create conditions that accelerate degradation in areas that are simply impossible to assess without getting inside.

The fix was substantial. But it was a fraction of the cost of an unplanned failure, a product release, or a structural collapse.

Internal tank inspection under API 653 is not complicated. It just has to actually happen on schedule.

GEA Supply Chain Expo wrapped up and what a day it was!

Big thanks to everyone who stopped by the IMIS stand at the Gladstone Engineering Alliance Supply Chain Expo. Lots of great conversations, new connections, and opportunities ahead. Safe to say the event was a success for us.
