Due to our ongoing growth and success, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator with a minimum of 5 years' experience to assist in a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be confident in operating machinery and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators and other construction machinery on residential building sites.
Perform excavation work for foundations, trenches, and other site preparation tasks.
Ensure machinery is maintained and report any mechanical issues.
Work closely with the team to follow site plans and specifications.
Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety standards.
Assist with additional tasks as required, including general site duties.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators in a construction environment.
Ability to confidently read and interpret residential building plans (bonus).
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment (bonus).
Forklift licence (preferred).
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
Reliability and flexibility to work across various sites.
