Small change. Measurable impact. ♻️

Continuous improvement often starts with everyday processes: by optimising used oil disposal, the sheet metal fabrication team at TENTE-ROLLEN GmbH is saving around €13,000 a year.

How does it work?

Leak-proof plastic containers allow the extracted used oil to be separated cleanly into chlorinated and non-chlorinated fractions and disposed of correctly. Some of the separated oil is then filtered and reused in manufacturing processes. At the same time, this eliminates the need for around 1,200 plastic liners each year.

A good example of how targeted process improvements can combine commercial efficiency with the responsible use of resources.

Our customer Esselte Leitz is known for its lever arch files and innovative office products. To make warehouse order picking more flexible and efficient, the company uses multi-tier order-picking trolleys rather than relying extensively on industrial trucks.

As the fully loaded trolleys can weigh up to 400 kilograms, TENTE worked closely with Esselte Leitz to develop a tailored solution featuring the e-drive electric drive system. At the touch of a button, heavy loads can be moved easily, quickly and comfortably – forwards or backwards, with continuously variable speed control.

School holidays are adventure time! 🌳🥋

The TENTE summer holiday childcare programme for schoolchildren is now under way - once again offering two varied themed weeks and a wide range of activities.

The first week, themed “Survival Adventure”, is all about exploring nature, making discoveries and sharing new experiences. The second week, under the theme “People, Health and Wellbeing”, focuses on movement, wellbeing and community. Activities include trips to the forest, a judo day and a visit to an indoor play centre.

One particular highlight is TENTE Day, when the children can discover where their mum or dad works and gain exciting insights into day-to-day working life at TENTE.

A total of 21 children aged between 6 and 14 are taking part across the two weeks. The programme is open to employees at all TENTE locations in Germany and, as last year, is being run by Services GmbH.

TENTE was also actively involved during the first two weeks of the school holidays. At Wermelskirchen Children's City, a long-standing project largely funded by the TENTE Foundation, we had our own stand. There, our apprentices helped to keep the little city moving by building wheeled platforms and trolleys together with the children.

We hope all our young adventurers enjoy many more exciting weeks of the school holidays filled with wonderful experiences! ☀️

Our global customer Marks & Spencer uses mobile display furniture in its stores, allowing layouts to be adapted quickly and easily to changing retail requirements. This calls for a castor that takes up very little space while still supporting heavy loads.

With a wheel diameter of just 50 millimetres, the TENTE Linea load supports up to 100 kilograms. Its compact design, high load capacity and integrated brake make it an ideal solution for flexible retail environments.

Ten years at TENTE – and always keen to keep learning 🎓

When David López Aragón began his commercial apprenticeship at TENTE ten years ago, he did not yet know where his career would take him. But one thing soon became clear: marketing was exactly where he belonged.

After completing his apprenticeship, he decided to study alongside his job – spending three days a week at work and two days at university. He later went on to complete a master’s degree in Business Psychology while working full-time.

“TENTE supported me from the very beginning, trusted me and gave me the flexibility I needed to pursue my path.”

Today, David works as Corporate Online Marketing Manager, combining his knowledge of TENTE with marketing expertise and an understanding of psychology. This enables him to create content and campaigns that truly resonate with our customers.
