You may choose actuator systems for adjustments, tilting, pushing, pulling and lifting with thrusts up to 10,000 N. le control over acceleration and velocity. Compared to both hydraulic and pneumatic systems an actuator solution is a lot easier to install. It takes up less space as there are no hoses and pumps that require routine maintenance to avoid safety hazards and messy oil leaks. This ensures a very low total operating cost compared to other systems. Electric actuator systems are quiet, clean, non-toxic and energy efficient. They fulfil the ever increasing demands and legislation concerning environmentally sound equipment.

Welcome to the Team, Malcolm Harvey

We're excited to welcome Malcolm Harvey to the LINAK Australia & New Zealand team as our new Industrial Sales Representative for Victoria.

Malcolm brings valuable experience in industrial motion and actuator technologies, along with a passion for working closely with customers to solve application challenges and create better outcomes through innovative solutions.

As Malcolm begins his journey with LINAK, we asked him to share his first impressions and what he's looking forward to in the role:

I am pleased to announce that I have joined the team at Linak Australia. I want to thank the team here for being so welcoming during my first week. I have been very impressed by how well organised and proactive the company is, and how it has ingrained that into its culture.

I look forward to bringing my previous experience with pneumatic actuators to Linak, working closely with customers to leverage the advantages of electric linear actuators in new and existing customer applications.

We're thrilled to have Malcolm on board and look forward to seeing the expertise, energy and customer focus he brings to the team.

LEAN production and ergonomics go hand in hand 🤝​

When HOOB was tasked with building a brand-new assembly line for a global leader in electrification and automation, the challenge was clear: increase efficiency without compromising ergonomics.​

The solution? Design a smarter, human-centric production flow.​

By integrating LINAK lifting columns and actuators, HOOB created a 14-meter one-piece flow line with fully adjustable workstations capable of handling products up to 300 kg while adapting to each operator.​

The impact was visible: ​

Smarter automation starts with the right details.​

When InSystems Automation (now part of ABB) set out to engineer their proANT 654 transport robot, the design challenge was clear-cut: create a flexible, reliable height-adjustment solution for moving floor rollers safely and precisely.​

Instead of hydraulics, they chose electric linear actuators from LINAK. The result was a compact, energy-efficient system with precise control, meeting the 3,000 N lifting requirement within a 65 mm range - while simplifying integration and improving environmental performance.​

But in environments where humans and robots work side by side, safety isn’t optional; it is crucial. “For safety, an additional sensor outside the actuator monitors the top position. Since our transport systems operate around people, we need two independent safety systems,” says Kristof Parz.​
