Trade QUALIFIED Motor Mechanics required for our workshop in Miles.

You MUST hold a full Trades Certificate and have a manual driver licence. Not open to Cert 3 or 4 holders unless you have 4 years post experience.

Offering Monday to Friday fulltime, 40 hrs per week.

Working on a range of vehicles, machinery and small engines. Auto electrical experience an advantage.
General duties will include: gear box and clutch replacements, auto electrical repairs, light vehicle servicing and repairs, suspension and brake reapairs along with general workshop duties.

We are looking for local staff that are self motivated and willing to give anything a go.

Surat Basin Mechanical & Engineering are seeking expressions of interest for the position of Motor Mechanic Apprentice.

You must have completed a minimum of grade 10 with a preference for completion of grade 12.

This position would suit someone who has a strong interest in motor mechanics and auto electrical, a drivers licence and be prepared for some hard work and getting dirty.

Open to semi retired, a young school lever looking for an automotive apprenticeship or a mechanically minded person willing to advance their learning on a range of vehicles and machinery.

You will need a manual drivers licence and be self motivate to show up to work everyday to work in a busy workshop environment.

Position starts early January.

Full time position for Motor Mechanic at Surat Basin Mechanical.

We are offering a full time position working Monday to Friday for a trade qualified motor mechanic and auto electrician.

Ideally you will have at least a minimum of 2 years post trade and experience in mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
You would require an open manual drivers licence and an industry white card.

A great variety of work so you would not be bogged down just spinning filters doing the same thing every day.

We work on motor vehicles, forklifts, telehandlers, EWP's, small engines, outboard motors, trailers and much more.

A great opportunity t learn new skills with field service and workshop opportunities.

Mechanical Apprenticeship opportunity at Surat Basin Mechanical & Engineering Miles.

A great opportunity to learn and work on a range of vehicles and machinery whilst honing your skills in welding, auto electrical, small engines and much more.

What we do...
Light vehicle repairs and servicing
Engine, clutch, suspension, diff repairs and rebuilds
Air conditioning repairs
Auto electrical repairs and installations
Alcohol interlock installs
RWC on vehicles, motor bikes, light trailers
Service and repairs to boom and scissor lifts
Major inspections and certification on EWPs
Telehandler and forklift servicing and repairs
Small engine repairs and servicing
Compaction plate and rammer repairs
Outboard motor servicing and repairs

We are looking for a self motivated person willing to put the effort in to learn all areas of our workshop. You will be required to take on external study through TAFE and will be required to have passed a minimum of grade 10 at school.

As driving customers vehicles is part of the job, you will be required to hold a manual drivers licence and pass random drug testing if required during site work.

We are looking for Miles locals to apply or someone willing to relocate to Miles and be part of the community.

This is a full time position working a minimum 40 hour week Monday to Friday.

Above award wages are offered to the successful applicant and will consider mature aged people looking to gain a trade through recognition of prior learning.
