2026 POWRI NATIONALS FAQ – June 5th, 6th & 7th
What time does it start?
Both Saturday & Sunday spectator gates will open at 12pm with racing from 2.30pm. Cars will be on track before 2.30pm for their warm up sessions only,
We would suggest not leaving it until the last minute to arrive, especially on Sunday (sorry, we can’t let you in earlier than the advertised opening times)
What time will it finish?
We will aim to have all events finished by 8.30pm both nights however this can change and is only a rough guide.
When is the Methanol Moonshine Pit Party on?
Dtuned will perform LIVE after racing is completed on Saturday night, we plan to have the party at the Bike track, and remind everyone that it is only open to anyone who has purchased a speedway ticket.
When will the True Blue Painting & Lawn Services Demolition Derby run?
The demolition derby will run at the completion of all racing on Sunday evening, it will make a BIG mess that will take hours to clean up, but you will get to experience a HUGE night of open wheel racing action before the derby starts.
When will the AMI Auto Electrical fireworks show be on?
The Upper Hunter Fireworks display will also take place during the event on Sunday evening, we can’t give you an exact time for this, but it will be a great show
What if it rains?
Our ground staff are constantly monitoring the venue and the ever changing weather forecasts, if we feel that the event cannot proceed, a decision will be made and announced via this page.
This is a HUGE decision that impacts many people, so please trust us to make the right call.

Can we go into the pits?
Pit entry is NOT ALLOWED on a general admission ticket, anyone wishing to purchase a pit pass, please do so when arriving to the ticket box on the day, these are $40 including your general entry.
**ZERO alcohol in the pits, and enclosed shoes MUST be worn**
We welcome and encourage spectators to visit the pit area at the COMPLETION of the nights racing, this is a great opportunity to meet the drivers and sit the kids in the racing cars for some cool photos!!
What should we pack?
PLEASE PACK WARM CLOTHES🥶
We also recommend camping chairs, blankets or tarps to sit on & warm clothes for when the sun goes down. Please also wear appropriate clothing and footwear to the venue. Hearing protection for kids is recommended.
Will there be food available?
Yes, all your favorite race track foods will be available from our Speedbowl regulars🍟🍔☕

Can we pack our own food?
Yes, this is perfectly fine, but please try to support our food vendors where possible, these guys support us by showing up each week, win lose or draw.
Is BYO allowed?
Yes, BYO is allowed, however NO GLASS is to be brought into the venue. Anyone caught with glass will be asked to leave without warning.
Please also keep in mind this is a family friendly venue so please drink responsibly and in moderation!!!(we can't stress this enough)
Will there be a live stream?
YES, the team from What's On Speedway TV will be trackside both nights to cover all the action. Do not get scammed by a fake link!!!
Do you have merchandise available?
Yes, a limited amount of Nationals & POWRi Racing Australia merchandise will be available for purchase at the track, including Shirt, Hoodies, & Beanies
The crew from Wide Open Clothing Co will also be trackside across the weekend with their fully stocked merchandise trailer.
