It’s encouraging to see the challenges facing South Australia’s wine industry being heard at the highest level.

For many growers, however, this isn’t just an industry discussion—it’s their livelihood, their family business and years of hard work tied up in every vineyard.

The pressure from oversupply, declining grape prices, rising costs and changing markets is real. What matters now is that these conversations lead to practical action—stronger markets, greater certainty and genuine support for growers making difficult decisions about their future.

Premier Peter Malinauskas will convene a meeting between key representatives of the South Australian wine industry tomorrow, to address growing challenges facing growers and winemakers.
