Industrial Robotics is heading to Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME) 2026 where our CEO, Andreas Ramm, has been selected to present at this year’s Mine Pitch.

Held as part of QME, Australia’s largest regional mining exhibition, Mine Pitch brings together some of the country’s most innovative technology companies with mining leaders actively searching for practical solutions to real operational challenges. The event provides a unique opportunity for innovators to pitch directly to decision-makers from across the mining and METS sectors, with the potential to spark pilot projects, partnerships and future commercial opportunities.

A New Approach to Mining Automation
Thursday, 23 July, Andreas Ramm will introduce a different way of thinking about industrial robotics.

Rather than focusing on the robots themselves, the presentation explores one of the biggest barriers preventing wider automation adoption across mining operations – fast and effective robot deployment.

Industrial Robotics is working with Blue Dragon Framework. This tech challenges traditional robotic workflows, with the goal of making advanced automation faster to deploy, easier to use and more commercially viable for maintenance, fabrication and repair applications.

We’re sharing just enough to start the conversation…

…the full story will have to wait until you’re in the audience.

Join Us at QME
Returning to the Mackay Showgrounds from 21–23 July 2026, QME brings together more than 300 exhibitors, thousands of mining professionals, live demonstrations and a comprehensive leadership program, making it one of the industry’s premier events for discovering new technologies and building valuable industry connections. Best of all, visitor registration is free, with tickets available now through the official QME website.

If you’re attending QME, we’d love to see you at Mine Pitch on Thursday, 23 July, where Andreas will share how Industrial Robotics is working to remove the programming barrier to mining automation.

At Australian Manufacturing Week (AMW) 2026, Brisbane became the centre of gravity for Australian advanced manufacturing. For Industrial Robotics, it wasn’t simply an industry showcase. It was a live demonstration of what modern automation can achieve under real-world pressure.

Working alongside our strategic partners Universal Robots and Freelance Robotics, we ran the Blue Dragon Framework nonstop. The objective was clear: demonstrate that intelligent robotics can deliver consistent, high-precision outcomes in a dynamic, unpredictable environment, live on the show floor.

The Challenge: Continuous Cold-Weld Performance Under Real Conditions! At the heart of the booth was our “Bring a Part” challenge, inviting visitors to supply real components that were processed through the Blue Dragon Framework in a continuous cold-welding workflow.

Cold welding tests the planned hot weld path optimisation. It is a precision-intensive process requiring exact alignment and controlled force application without the use of heat. At AMW, we challenged the system to perform this process repeatedly, safely, and without interruption across the full event.

The outcome was a complete, uninterrupted production run.

From open to close each day, the system completed hundreds of cycles with consistent quality, adapting to variation in part geometry and presentation, while operating safely alongside live human interaction. Visitors didn’t just observe the system. They engaged with it, tested it, and witnessed its reliability firsthand.

The performance of the Blue Dragon Framework at AMW 2026 highlights three important shifts now shaping advanced manufacturing:

1. Real-World Robustness, Not Lab Conditions
Running continuously in a busy exhibition environment demonstrated resilience beyond controlled factory settings, proving suitability for real production variability.

2. True Collaborative Integration
The combination of Universal Robots’ collaborative hardware with Freelance Robotics’ perception and control systems created a tightly integrated ecosystem. Hardware and software operate as a unified manufacturing intelligence layer. This is physical AI.

3. Expanded Access to Advanced Processes
By demonstrating cold welding in a flexible, modular setup, we showed how advanced joining techniques can move beyond fixed, high-cost infrastructure into scalable, deployable systems.

Queensland on the Global Manufacturing Stage. AMW 2026 reinforced Queensland’s growing position as a leader in advanced manufacturing capability. The Blue Dragon Framework demonstration contributed to that momentum. Industrial Robotics was there showcasing locally developed and deployed automation technology operating at global standards.

The response from attendees, from SME manufacturers to international engineering leaders, was consistent: practical, scalable automation is no longer a future concept. It is already here.

Looking Ahead. The Blue Dragon Framework not only met expectations at AMW 2026, it generated a dataset of real-world performance under continuous operation. This is already informing the next phase of development and deployment.

We extend our thanks to Universal Robots, Freelance Robotics, and everyone who visited the booth, tested the system, and contributed to its success.
