Big day in Sheffield today.

We hosted Minister Felix Ellis at the Taz Drone Solutions workshop as he announced a Tasmanian Government grant awarded to TDS — with Southern Cross News and the ABC along for the visit.

The star of the show? Our newly launched BFD — 150kg maximum take-off weight, one of the largest commercial drones built in the world. In the coming months it'll be out in the field stringing conductors. Designed, engineered and built entirely in Sheffield, Tasmania.

It means a lot to have the state government back what we're building here. Sovereign manufacturing capability in regional Tasmania isn't just possible — it's happening.

Thank you to Minister Ellis for taking the time to tour our premises, and to the Tasmanian Government for the support. We'll be using it to raise our quality standards and take TDS national and international.
