What should a chassis-mounted battery be built to withstand?

When a battery is mounted externally, it’s exposed to water, road debris, stone strikes, vibration and harsh Australian conditions. That’s why every design decision matters.

At OzX Corp, we chose a cold-rolled steel enclosure to provide a robust external housing, paired with an FEA-engineered mounting bracket supplied with high-tensile hardware, a water-resistant lid design tested to 1 metre, and an automotive-grade protective coating designed to help resist corrosion.

Every feature has been engineered with one objective in mind: delivering a durable, reliable chassis-mounted energy solution for recreational vehicles, trailers and demanding off-grid applications.

Because when your power system is mounted outside the vehicle, the enclosure is just as important as the technology inside.

Last night was a great reminder of why we enjoy being part of the RV industry.

The Caravan Industry Victoria Hall of Fame Gala brought together manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and so many passionate people who genuinely want to see our industry continue to grow.

OzX Corp was honoured to be nominated for two business awards. We didn’t take home the trophies this time, but being recognised alongside some of the best businesses in the industry is something we’re incredibly proud of.

A huge congratulations to Nick, Heidi and the entire Mountain Trail RV team on taking out Excellence in Caravan & RV Manufacturer award. Well deserved, and it was great to be on the table celebrating with you all.

For us, it’s back to work on Monday. Our focus hasn’t changed, engineering better products, pushing safety standards higher, and building the next generation of energy systems for the Australian RV market.
