Kingdom Projects has built a strong reputation across a long-standing presence in the industry, delivering healthcare and aged care projects in live clinical environments where safety, planning, and coordination are critical.

We delivered the Mulgrave Day Surgery Emergency Department expansion within an operational hospital setting.

The project included 13 additional treatment bays, an isolation room, staff base, and expanded clinical support spaces, increasing capacity by 14 beds.

Works were carefully staged to ensure hospital operations continued without disruption, with close coordination and strict infection control measures maintained throughout.

Cabrini Hospital – 1 North Ward Refurbishment

A look back at the transformation of 1 North, captured through a series of progress photos from start to finish.

This 30-bed ward upgrade was completed in 72 days, with a total of 5,778 hours worked on site, and involved:

• Corridor and public space refresh
• New flooring throughout, paint, and wall protection
• Upgraded patient rooms with new joinery, services, and lighting
• Complete ensuite refurbishments
• Installation of compliant fixtures, fittings, and safety features throughout
New medical services panels and IT infrastructure upgrade through the Ward.

Conversion of a 4 bed room to 2 new premium spec private rooms including new ensuites to match the Gandel Wing theme

Working in a live healthcare environment always brings its own challenges — careful staging, protection of existing elements, and close coordination across all trades were critical to keeping things moving.

Doing demolition on one side of a live hospital while surgeries are happening on the other… puts things into perspective.

You’ve got noise, dust, tight access — but everything has to stay controlled. People are relying on that building while you’re pulling parts of it apart.

These photos are what’s really happening on our side.

Takes a bit more thought before every move, and you stick to the plan.

At the end of the day, there’s more going on here than just the build.
